Jay Cook

February 16, 1928 — March 22, 2009

Jay Emory Cook was born February 16, 1928 to the late Paul & Anna Mae Cook in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Poytechnical Institute and then was in the Merchant Marines for ten years. He retired from IBM after 34 years.
He is a member of Glen Burnie Baptist Church where he was a deacon. He was also a member & past officer of the Ventor Yacht Club. Jay was a member of the American Legion post 71 and on the board for NCEON. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, boating, crossword puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.
Jay is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Cook of 47 years; four sons : Paul, Bruce, Lance & Brian Cook and two daughters : Cindy Humphrey and Rita Cook. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
