Jean Arthur

Jean Elizabeth Arthur, 88, of Severn, passed away on July 19, 2017. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 17, 1929, to the late Mary and Louis Dash. Jean worked as the bookkeeping manager at Union Trust Bank in Baltimore and she was an avid baker and reader, and she loved the beach and her dogs.
Jean was predeceased by her devoted husband of 35 years, Thomas P. Arthur, Sr. and her dear brothers, Louis, Richard, and John Dash. She is survived by her cherished son, Thomas P. Arthur, Jr. and his wife Stacey; and her beloved grandchildren, Timothy and Megan Arthur, and Harley Potter.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A. 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy) on Sunday, July 23rd, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 24th, at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 7436 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd. in Glen Burnie. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jean's name may be made to the Casey Cares Foundation at www.caseycares.org.
