Jean Howes

On May 31, 2007, Jean P. Howes passed on. Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 40 years, Seth Howes. She is survived by her dear sons,George Howes and his wife, Sharon, and Douglas; her dear sister, Lillian Freet of Florida; her half brother, Donald; and her sister-in-law, Shirley. Mrs. Howes was born in New York in 1921. She moved to Baltimore, Maryland 5 years later. Jean was an employee at Springfield Hospital while she attended classes to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. After her children were grown, Jean became a nurse at University Hospital. She was a nurse at the hospital until she retired after 20 years. She also sold Avon products for many years. Jean was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the AARP - Chapter 2244 of Linthicum, the A.A. Historical Society and a volunteer at the Benson Hamond House. Jean was a dear, loving woman who will be missed by many people.
