Jean Elizabeth Jordan

Jean Elizabeth Jordan, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore.  Born on July 17, 1937, Jean led a life rich in love and laughter, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

Jean was a woman of remarkable spirit, often found with a smile as she engaged in her favorite pastimes, whether it be playing bingo, tackling crossword puzzles, or immersing herself in a good book.  Her passionate nature was evident even in her unique habit of enjoying her Viceroy cigarettes, a quirk that will fondly be remembered by all who cherished her.

Throughout her life, Jean found joy and solace in her family.  She is survived by her devoted sons, Michael Jordan and Randy Jordan; loving “Nan” to her grandchildren, Chris, Randy, David, Brian, Melissa, Mike, and Kevin, who brought her immense pride and happiness.  Jean's heart was further filled with love for her numerous great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Jean was predeceased by her cherished husband of 56 years, Francis "Bunk" Jordan, whose love was the foundation of their family.  She was also predeceased by her beloved daughter, Sharon Mayne, and her dear sisters, Shirley and Nancy, who have now joined her in eternal rest.  Their memories will forever remain a part of her legacy.

As we gather to celebrate Jean's extraordinary life, we remember the warmth and compassion she brought into our lives.  Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on April 24, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services.  A heartfelt Celebration of Life will take place the following day, April 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM, where we will honor the beautiful memories shared with Jean.

Though Jean has departed from this world, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all those she touched with her vibrant personality and everlasting love.  She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will endure in the stories we share and the memories we cherish.
