Jean Mcabee

Jean E. McAbee, 71, of Glen Burnie, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020. She was born November 14, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Homer and Lorene Briggs.

Jean was a business owner and had been self-employed for over 30 years. She loved the theatre and had memberships to the Hippodrome and Kennedy center. She also loved gardening, summer, traveling, and the beach, especially Ocean City. Most of all Jean loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband Marc Allen McAbee, who she was married to for 10 years. She is survived by her loving children, Elaine Marie Knaus, Shelley Jean Knaus, John Jacob Knaus Jr., and 7 grandchildren, her brother Jerome E. Briggs, sister, Darlene Nelson, and lots of nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Venus.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral Home, 1 2nd Avenue SW (at Crain Hwy) in Glen Burnie, Maryland, on Wednesday, February 5th from 3-5 PM & 7-9 PM. A celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, February 6th at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.
