Jeanette R. Bowen

Jeanette Roxine Phelps-Bowen, age 76, of Annapolis, MD, passed away September 10, 2023. Born in Baltimore, MD on November 7, 1946, Jeanie was the daughter of the late Wilbert C. Phelps, and Viola Brown. In addition to her mother and father, Jeanie was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Arbuckle, and brothers Wilbert "Bobby" Phelps II, Ronald "Jerry" Phelps, and Randall W. Phelps.

An avid crabber and proud mother and grandmother, Jeanie is survived by her son, William Bowen Jr., his wife Amy Gorrek, and granddaughter Hope Bowen, of Norwalk, CT., her son Jeffrey Bowen and his husband Michael Berresse of Brooklyn, NY., Jeanie's loving high school sweetheart and soul mate Joe Wright, of Annapolis, MD, Joe’s daughters Laura Meck, Lisa Heeter and Lynn Laster, and the entire Wright family. Jeanie is also survived by her six nieces and six nephews as well as their families.

Jeanie was a force of positive energy with a sense of humor about herself and affection toward others that was just so rare and unique. She brought tremendous joy and love everywhere she went and shared it with everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
