Jeanne Moreland

Jeanne S. Moreland, 94, of Glen Burnie, passed away on Saturday, July 3rd 2021. Jeanne was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 2nd 1927 to the late, August and Marie Spiegel. She attended Seton High School in Baltimore and graduated in 1949, she went on to work at Ft. Meade for 30 years. During her retirement Jeanne worked for BG’s Carwash in Glen Burnie. Jeanne was a member of several groups, Lion’s Club, Gerard Plaza Improvement Association. She volunteered her time with Partners in Care in Pasadena, MD for 20 years, she also helped out with the Special Olympics, and was active with animal welfare. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, baking, eating crabs, going on bus trips and gambling, and was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan. Jeanne will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Jeanne is survived by her son, Timothy Moreland, daughter, Susan Moreland, and her nieces, Barbara and Dale Spiegel, sister-in-law, Anita Spiegel. She is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore P. Moreland, her sister, Patricia Lowman, and her brothers, Augustine and Xavier Spiegel.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Ave., SW (off Crain Hwy), on Friday, July 9th, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie.
