Jeffrey Wayne Lloyd Sr., Age 69, of Cambridge, MD, passed away peacefully at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, on October 15, 2024. Born in Annapolis to the late Frederick “Tommy” Lloyd and Elaine Crawford Lloyd, Jeff grew up with a love for sports, particularly baseball. A proud graduate of Arundel High School in 1973, he was a three-time letterman on the baseball team. After graduation, he dedicated himself to serving his community as a police officer with Anne Arundel County, retiring as a Corporal after 20 years of service.
Following his retirement from law enforcement, Jeff pursued a new career in commercial driving. His dedication and expertise eventually led him back to school buses, where he became the safety director and later the general manager for Durham School Services in Anne Arundel County, managing three separate bus yards.
Throughout his life, Jeff's greatest joy was his family. He cherished his loved ones and created lasting memories with them. He was also passionate about coaching, mentoring, fishing, boating, hunting, and watching sports, especially the Baltimore Colts, Orioles and Ravens. Jeff was an avid fan, always cheering for his teams through thick or thin. Jeff spent years competitively Drag Racing. He even obtained a pilot’s license. He also enjoyed barbeque, motorcycling, and listening to music. He was commonly known to provide his own personal concerts in front of a mirror.
