Jeffrey "Jeff" Wayne McLean passed away peacefully at his home in Pasadena, Maryland on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Jeff was born on August 30, 1964 in Presque Isle, Maine. He was naturally talented in all that he did. He played basketball, football, baseball and golf all through high school and played each game as if it was a championship game. His real passion was playing the drums, which earned him multiple awards at the state level. Many people attended ball games just to listen to the pep rally band and on several occasions, Jeff would run to the stands in his basketball uniform during warmups to play the solo piece. After college, Jeff honorably served in the Air Force for eight years and was stationed in England. He quickly mastered the art of throwing darts. His military awards include the Air Force Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Long Tour Medal, Longevity Service Award Ribbon, Air Force NCO PME Graduate with Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal, and Humanitarian Service Medal. Jeff returned stateside and became a salesman and master of industrial plastics. Even regional managers would seek his advice and ask for recommendations. He was often the number one regional salesman and often in the Top Five for best sales numbers across the nation for his company. Jeff never met a stranger. His "superpowers" were his sense of humor and connecting deeply with others. Within moments, he could light up a room with his humor and passion for life. He was the life of the party. Every stranger was a friend and every friend was family. He was often considered the glue that held everyone together. He took care of everyone he could, putting them before himself. His hobbies included gardening and landscaping, fishing, cooking, playing darts, playing video games, and music. He loved to cook for others during special occasions. He also loved birds, especially the eagle because of the freedom they symbolized.
He is survived by his three loving children Ashley, Joshua and Jonathan; two grand-children Emily Maupin and Abigail McLean; mother M. Jean Mclean-Corcoran; siblings Julie McLean, Bruce McLean and Lisa Henaghen; and step-siblings Joleen Corcoran-Theran, Sean Corcoran, Kriston Corcoran. He is predeceased by his father Maurice McLean and step-brother Kyle Corcoran.
