James Patrick Mathews, 67, of Glen Burnie, passed away on April 30, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center. Jimmy retired from the Anne Arundel County government after 40 years of service and was a former member of the Ghost Ryderz Car Club. An avid car buff and proud owner of many antique cars, he also enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling to Cumberland and loved all animals, especially his cat, Squeaky. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brother, Michael Timothy “Tim” Mathews; and his parents, James and Patricia Mathews.
Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Debbie; loving sister, Patricia “Pattie” Hartzell and her husband, James; and his cherished nephew and niece, Timothy Michael Mathews and Brandie Michelle Hartzell.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Ave., SW (off Crain Hwy), on Friday, May 7th, from 2-4 & 6-8. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
