Jo Ann Kahler died on September 20, 2016 after a long battle with diabetes and its multiple complications.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gary; her mother, Margaret Hanna and her three sisters, Sue, Peggie and Phyllis and their spouses. Jo Ann had two children, Albert Francis Lowe and Rebecca Jean Lowe, and two stepchildren, Heather Elizabeth Iasso and Steven Gary Kahler. She was also fortunate enough to enjoy 7 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.
Jo Ann retired from the Anne Arundel Co. Board of Education and enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting and needlework in her spare time.
A Memorial Service will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Saturday, Sept. 24th at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research, Stem Cell Research, The National Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association.
