Joan Lasley

On Sunday, March 26, 2023, Joan Alice Lasley of Glen Burnie, MD passed away peacefully. Beloved wife of the late Donald L. Lasley and loving mother of David M. Lasley and Donna B. Boyer. Grandmother of Courtney M. Deremer (Mike) and Michael B. Boyer (Amy). Great-Grandmother of Lucas, Logan, Trentin, Owen, Paige, Blaine, Cora, Canaan, Reagan, Ryker and Phoebe. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; Hester and William McBride, Sr. and her siblings; William, Jr., Marguerite, Rose and Richard. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, loving friends and her devoted pet “Riley”.

Joan was a resident of Glen Burnie Park since 1977 and an active member of Glen Burnie Baptist Church and enjoyed socializing in the Silver Sages. She loved to spend time in her yard with her flowers and feeding the birds and squirrels. Joan enjoyed traveling Disney World and taking cruises.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 Second Avenue, SW (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 4:00 pm till the start of the Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 7:00 pm. Her Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
