Joan Swan

On September 28, 2007, Joan M. Swan of Glen Burnie passed on after a lengthy illness. She is the beloved companion of the late William Hickey; loving mother of Robert MacLeod Nims, Sandy Hopkins, Bonnie Nims, and Linda Hicks; cherished grandmother of seven, and devoted great grandmother of 11. Joan was employed by the State of Maryland for 20+ years. She was a past president of the American Legion Women's Auxillary Post 40. In her spare time, she greatly enjoyed watching her Soap Operas, playing solitaire, cooking, her dog Boo Boo, travelling to Ocean City for the summer, and most of all spending time with her family.
