Joanne Senk

Joanne K. Senk (nee Katuzny) passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 from complications of diabetes which affected her for over 20 years. She was 68 years old. Joanne was born in Meriden, CT on June 7, 1942 and attended the public schools in the Silver City. After high school, she spent four years studying at Central Connecticut State College and graduated in 1964 with her bachelor's degree in business education. She went to work at Lyman Hall high school in Wallingford, CT teaching typing, shorthand, accounting, etc. During these years she continued her studies and in 1968 she received her master's degree in business. On July 6, 1968 she married Stanislaus S. Senk, Jr. Her husband's profession in aircraft maintenance paved their way to live in Connecticut, Florida, Wisconsin, Montana, Minnesota, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. They retired in September of 2010 to their home in Maryland. Joanne enjoyed traveling, going camping, and communicating with her family members across the country. She also loved her pets. Besides her husband, Joanne leaves behind her adopted daughter, Melissa C. Killebrew, and Son-in-Law, Matthew, and two grandchildren, Taylor and Liam, who live in Fairview, TN; her brother John Katuzny, his wife Marion, of Palm Bay, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
