John G. Brong, Jr.

John “Jack” Gilbert Brong, Jr., 71 of Millersville passed away on July 16, 2024. Jack was born on February 19, 1953, in Peckville, Pennsylvania to the late J. Gilbert and Vera Brong. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Ann Brong; his daughters, Kimberly Murphy (Steve Smith), Katie Festa (Andy), and Sarah Hiltner (C.J.); his grandchildren, Kelly Wilson (Bobby), John Winfred Murphy, Jr., Vinny Festa, Ruthie Hiltner and Lilly Hiltner; his siblings, Barbara Brong and Arthur Brong (Marilyn). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Jack retired from Westinghouse / Northrop Grumman and was an active member at Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church and served as a Trustee. He will be remembered for his love of his family, and sports, particularly as an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Orioles fan. He also enjoyed bowling and playing various sports in his younger years. In his later years, he brought joy to many children by playing Santa. 

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Tuesday, July 23rd from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church, Millersville on Wednesday, July 24th at 10 am. Interment to follow at the church cemetery.
