On March 22, 2018, John Anthony Creighton, Sr., 66, of Baltimore, passed away at his son's home in Pasadena. John was born on July 23, 1951, in Baltimore, to the late Felicia and Clarence Creighton. He served and protected the citizens of Baltimore City as a police officer in the Southwest District for over 30 years and was a member of the F.O.P. John enjoyed traveling with his wife, Cathy, and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.
John is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Catherine J. Creighton; his beloved sons, Steven J. Creighton and his wife Tammy, and John A. Creighton, Jr.; his cherished grandsons, Nikolas M. Creighton and Collin A. Creighton; and his loving siblings, Mary Elliott and Joseph Creighton. John was predeceased by his dear son, Gregory M. Creighton, and his three siblings, Clarence Creighton Jr., Geraldine Johnson, and Houston Creighton.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Sunday, March 25th, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 26th, at 11:30 AM at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1400 Riverside Ave. Baltimore, MD 21230. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's name may be made to fallen police and fire heroes, at www.thefallenheroes.org.
