John Hood

October 23, 1936 — November 15, 2018

John William Hood, 82, of West Virginia, passed away on November 15, 2018. He was born, one of nine, to the late Thomas and Catherine Hood. He honorably served his country in the Army National Guard and the Navy. John was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nine siblings; sons, John Hood Jr. and Joseph Hood; and his wife, Madalene Hood.
John is survived by his loving children, Deborah Hood, Celeste Miles (Lenny), Catherine Hood and Thomas Hood (Cheryl); eleven cherished grandchildren; and nine beloved great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at the family owned Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Highway) Glen Burnie on Monday, Nov. 19th, from 5-8 PM. A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, 1 PM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
