John Henry Pauline, 71, of Millersville Maryland, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019. John was born in Canton Ohio, to the late Catherine and Henry Pauline. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army, and the National Guard, retiring as a Sergeant First Class. John worked for the railroad in Ohio and then for the U.S. Postal Service until he retired. For 38 years John made himself responsible to be part of the hand of Alcoholics Anonymous, to reach out to anyone, anywhere. He was a great motivator, as a softball coach and DJ at many events. John loved to dance, sing, ride motorcycles and hug trees.
John is survived by his beloved daughter, Tamara Lynne Dunham; his loving son-in-law, Robert E. Dunham; his cherished grandchildren, Douglas E. Bushey, Alaina Beavis, Alexandrea Dunham, and Jonathan “Erick” Dunham; and his dear brother, Edward Pauline. He was predeceased by his five sisters, Irene Bennett, Frances Grisez, Margaret Kindler, Anna Catherine Pachmayer, and Helen Kindler.
Memorial services will be held on March 31st, Sunday at the American Legion 830 Mayo Rd, Edgewater Md. 21037, between 12pm-4pm.
