John Rosskopf, age 97, currently residing in Glen Burnie and former 57-year resident of Brooklyn Park, died January 26, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center following complications from pneumonia. Born in Baltimore, Mr. Rosskopf attended Forest Park High School. He served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945, and during his service received the Bronze Medal. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge #213 of Glen Burnie for 50 years. He worked as an auto mechanic and Service Manager for the Brooklyn Ford Motor Company on Hanover Street for 54 years. Mr. Rosskopf worshiped with his family at Brooklyn Community Methodist Church for over 50 years. He enjoyed working on cars, cooking, gardening and vacationing with his family. Mr. Rosskopf is proceeded in death by his wife of 56 years, Alma Louise Rosskopf and his brother Harry Rosskopf. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Page Wacker of Glen Burnie and Susan Etheridge of Linthicum; 4 grandchildren, John Etheridge of Pasadena, Lesley Wallace of Millersville, Kellie Rich of Pasadena, and Cindy Wacker of Baltimore; and 4 great grandchildren.
