John "Jack" Stickline, 82, of Glen Burnie passed away on November 6, 2013 at his home. John was born in 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland. John worked as a grocery box boy to pay for his education at Mount Saint Joseph High School, where he graduated Class of 1948 He served in the US Navy from 1948-1952.. Later, John worked as a Payroll Clerk at the Pennsylvania/Penn Central/Conrail Railroad. John was an active member of The Buick Owners of Maryland Car Club and Another Baltimore Computer Users Group, ABCUG. He enjoyed computers, making his own greeting cards, driving his white 1985 Fiero around town, and was the rock upon which his family flourished. Mr. Stickline will be remembered for many things, but the most important was that he was a gentle man in the true sense of the term. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy M. Stickline; three grandchildren, John E. Hechmer, Christine M. Gervasi and husband Nicholas, and Jeffrey S. Hechmer; and two adopted great-grandchildren, Aiden Tyler Silvano and Gabby Baguley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Stickline.
