John Zuby, Sr

On January 5, 2017, John Stanley Zuby, Sr., 84, of Millersville, passed away at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena. John was born on May 4, 1932, to the late Edna and Thomas Zuby in Harrisburg, PA. He served his country proudly as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and then went on to work as a draftsman at Westinghouse for 36 years. John was an elder at Grace of God Fellowship Church in Millersville and he enjoyed spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren), gardening, traveling, reading, and bowling.
John is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Norita M. Zuby; his loving children, Darla (Ronnie, Sr.) Shook, John S. Zuby Jr., Thomas (Cindy) Zuby, Paul Zuby, and Melissa Zuby; his beloved grandchildren, Christine (Sundaram) Mallick, Julie Shook, Ronnie (Katie) Shook Jr., Kaitlyn (Joseph) Birkett, Joshua (Kelsey) Zuby, Thomas Zuby Jr., Jonathan Zuby, Zachary Zuby, Benjamin Zuby, Kayla (Nick) Mardaga, Jared Zuby, and Jacob Zuby; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Alaina Mallick, Natalia Mallick, Ethan Shook, and Jackson Shook.
The family will receive visitors at Grace of God Fellowship Church, 8302 Elvaton Road, Millersville, MD 21108, on Thursday, January 12th, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held immediately following at 12:30 PM. Interment MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in John's name may be made to Grace of God Fellowship Church at www.gogfcc.org.
