John Francis Hansen, 53, of Glen Burnie, passed away on July 6, 2022, at his home with his family by his side. John was born in Woodbury, New Jersey, on June 1, 1969, to Robert Hansen and the late Margaret Mary Murphy. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Rowan University, and went on to earn his C.P.A. He worked as a pastor and worship leader, then managed finances for various church ministries, with his latest position being the COO/CFO of Annapolis Area Christian School. John enjoyed collecting old books – reading and researching them – especially Christian history. He even wrote a book titled, The Vision that Changed a Nation : The Legacy of William Tennant.
John is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lisa Marie Hansen; his cherished daughters, Moriah and Madelyn Hansen; his beloved father, Robert Hansen and beloved step-mother, JoLynn Hansen; and his loving brothers, Dan and Matt Hansen. He is also survived by many extended family & friends. He was predeceased by his loving mother, Margaret Mary Murphy.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. S. W. (at Crain Hwy) on Wednesday, July 13th, from 5-8 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 14th, at 11 AM (visitation starting 10 AM), in the funeral home chapel. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
