Jonathan David Stubbs, 34, of Severn, Maryland, passed away on November 14, 2024. He was born in Baltimore on January 17, 1990. He received his high school diploma from Freestate Challenge Academy in 2007. An Army Specialist, he proudly served his country as an Infantryman with the 2-27 Wolfhounds in Iraq, during Operation Iraqi Freedom, from 2008-2009. He ended his military career in the Army Reserves. Later in his life, he used his Infantry skills when he volunteered to serve with the International Legion for the Defense of Ukraine in 2023. Jonathan was a man of diverse interests. He cherished the great outdoors and the adventure it brought, enjoying activities such as snowboarding, hiking and paragliding. He also found joy in gaming and reading fantasy novels; but, most of all, spending time with his family. Jonathan was truly a one of a kind person with a huge heart that would drop anything to help his family and friends, who he fiercely loved. His personality was magnetic and he always had enthusiasm and energy for whatever the topic when he was engaging with someone. There was no one like him.
He is survived by his devoted parents, Krista Stubbs, Daniel Stubbs and his wife; his loving siblings, Danny Stubbs, Alana Michael, Kristina Stubbs, Paul Stubbs, Katrina Stubbs and their families; and his dog, Volibear.
