Jorge Lopez Sr

Jorge A. Lopez Sr., 71, of Glen Burnie, went home to be with the Lord on October 2, 2018. He was born in Venezuela to the late Rogelio Lopez and Josepha Guitierrez. He served in the Venezuelan Navy for 2 ½ years. During that time, he was aboard the Destroyer Arajua. Jorge worked for Coyne Textile Services for 47 years and later with G & K for five years. He was very active with his church, Bethel Baptist, formerly Peace Lutheran. He enjoyed landscaping, entertaining friends and family and going to flea markets and yard sales. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Sophia Lopez; sister, Noelba; and his grandparents, Arminda and Betrand Lopez.
Jorge is survived by his devoted wife, Jenny; loving children, Jorge A. Lopez Jr. (Stephanie), Arminda Lopez (Amy) and Renae Reeves (Paul); cherished grandchildren, Destin, Joren, Jared, Seth, Gage, Talon, Danielle and Kailee; beloved great-grandchildren, Layah and Aiden; and dear siblings, Freddy, Myrna, Xiomara and Beto.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue S.W., Glen Burnie, Maryland 21061, on Sunday, Oct. 7th, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, 11 AM, at Bethel Baptist Church. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
