Joseph Edward Boone, Sr.

     On Wednesday, July 19. 2023.  Joseph Edward Boone, Sr. (89) of Halethorpe, MD passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side.  Devoted husband of 65 years to Barbara A. Boone, loving father of Donna R. Wilson and her husband Floyd,  Lisa L. Coking and her husband Daniel, Joseph E. Boone, Jr. and his wife Patricia, David A. Boone and his wife Sharon and Jason C. Boone and his wife Heather.  Beloved Poppy of Megan, Emilie, Cory, Steven, Brian, Kerrigan and Noelle.  He will be the Great Grand Poppy of his Great Grandchild Baby “B”.  He is also survived by his siblings; Ruthanna Smardon, Elizabeth Morris, Paul and Raymond Boone and many nieces, nephews and loving friends.   Mr. Boone was preceded in death by his other siblings; William, Jr., Thomas, and Walter Boone, Nellie Peters, Marie Burns, and Evelyn Gartrell and his parents; Ruth A. and William A. Boone, Sr.

     Joseph was a career truck driver with over 40 years of service with the Teamsters local 355, earning many safe driver awards.

     Family and friends are invited to gather at the Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 Second Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm where a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 10:30 am.  Graveside Services and Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD.  In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to the Accent Care Hospice or to a Charity of Your Choice.
