Joseph Hoyas, Jr

On October 13, 2010, Joseph Hoyas, Jr., of Glen Burnie passed peacefully. He was the beloved husband of 59 years to the late Margaret Kaczmarek Hoyas; devoted father of Robert Hoyas and wife Melva, Alan Hoyas and wife Bonnie, Carol Boudman and husband Douglas, Joseph Hoyas, III and wife Carol; loving grandfather and great-grandfather. Joseph graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor's Degree in business. He was a Navy veteran and was also enlisted with the Navy Reserves. Joseph was very active at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Holy Trinity School when his children attended. He was also a member of Boy Scouts of America, where he was a Scout Master. He volunteered as a ranger at Ft. McHenry National Park and also with Benson Hammond House. Some of his other hobbies include reading, history, genealogy, and active with the Ann Arundell Historical Society.
