Joseph J. Hock, III, 74, a resident of Glen Burnie for 45 years, passed away on January 15, 2014 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. He was born on January 6, 1940 to the late Virginia and Joseph J. Hock, Jr. Joe served in the Air Force and retired as Deputy Chief from the Anne Arundel County Police Department after 22 years of service. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police, International Association of Chiefs of Police and North Glen Baptist Church. Joe greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria D. Hock. He is survived by his sons, Joseph J. Hock, IV and wife Lisa and Terry Smith and wife Linda; partner of seven years, Jane Wendling; granddaughter, Katie Anderson; 12 step-grandchildren; and two siblings, Nancy L. Hock and Charles D. Hock.
