Joseph Oleszczuk, Jr

Joseph John Oleszczuk Jr., age 67, from Section 5 of Arden on the Severn in Crownsville, Maryland, passed away May 31, 2011 at 12:45pm at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center following an accidental choking on May 29, 2011. Joe had also valiantly fought Hodgkin's lymphoma for the past 4 years. Joe was owner & President of the Olesek Insurance Agency, Inc. and sold life insurance for over 40 years for Ohio State Life Insurance Company and then for Americo Life Insurance Companies to the present time. Joe grew up in Fells Point in Baltimore, where he attended St. Stanislaus Catholic School and then Towson Catholic. When he was 17 he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. and served for 4 ½ years before being honorably discharged. While in the Marine Corp, Joe served on the USS Boxer. Joe was an avid gardener, advanced griller, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren golden retriever Tucker. Joe is survived by his wife of 20 years, Linda Loyer Oleszczuk, his sons and daughters-in-law Joseph John Oleszczuk III and Kathleen Oleszczuk with children Maura, Liam and Meghan ; and Richard Brian Oleszczuk and Erin Oleszczuk with children Noah, Ella and Eva. Joe is also survived by his brother Richard M. Oleszczuk of Reisterstown, MD; Anita Bienlein of Arbutus, MD and Cynthia D. Barnhard of Cambridge, MD. He is previously deceased by his parents Joseph J. Oleszczuk Sr. and Rita Oleszczuk.
