Joseph Shelton

On March 24, 2008, Joseph Libb Shelton of Glen Burnie. Beloved husband of 52 years, Gertrude "Gertie" Shelton Devoted father of Marie Shelton, Catherine Wright, David Shelton and Teresa Lawrence. Fond brother of, Hazel Corby, Jettie Dunbar, and Betty Wallin, and Huvel Shelton the late Burlie, Hesse, Leatha Malone, Nettie Ward and Geraldine Hensley. Loving grandfather of eight and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents, Ethel and Simon Shelton. Mr. Shelton was born in Tennessee in June of 1932. In 1966, he moved to Glen Burnie, Maryland. He entered the trucking business in which he remained for many years and was the owner and operator of his own business "Shelton Trucking". Mr. Shelton was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, as well as a member of the American Legion Post 40. He was an active man who enjoyed many hobbies. He loved activities such as fishing, gardening, cars, walking and camping. He especially loved spending time with his family.
