Joseph Sutton, Jr

Joseph Henry Sutton, Jr., 73, of Severn, passed away on October 2, 2016, at his home. Joseph was born in Kinston, North Carolina, to the late Charlotte and Joseph Sutton. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from North Carolina AandT in Business Administration and went on to serve his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force as a Sergeant E-4 from 1966-1970. Joseph then went on to work for BG&E as a site coordinator and manpower director. He was a member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity at NC AandT and also the "Year Round Tennis Club." He enjoyed playing tennis, sports, and gardening.

Joseph is survived by his devoted wife, Rosalyn A. Sutton; his beloved children, Pamela Sutton-Wallace, Joseph H. Sutton III, and his step-children, Gene Wilson, Roxanne Lewis, and Donna Brown; his dear siblings, Reginald Sutton, Frederick Sutton, and Cheryl Clark; and his 11 cherished grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Thursday, October 6th, from 5-8 PM. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 7th, at 11 AM at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Avenue, South, Millersville, MS 21108. Interment at the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joseph's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, at st.jude.org.
