Joseph Clifton Whitacre, Jr., 58, of Glen Burnie, passed away on December 12, 2012 at his home. Joey was born in 1954 in Baltimore. He worked for Maryland Ship Building and Dry Dock as a time keeper in the pipe shop and then went on to work at the Department of Motor Vehicles. Joey was an avid reader and sports fan, especially the Orioles, Ravens, and the old Baltimore Colts. He also enjoyed history, especially the Civil War and Revolutionary War era, all kinds of music, their family vacation every year to Ocean City, and he lived life to the fullest. Joey is survived by his beloved parents, Catherine and Joseph C. Whitacre, Sr.; his loving sisters, Terry Clarke (Steve) and Pamela Harding (Jim); his cherished nieces, Kaylynn and Hannah Harding; and his dear companion, Christine Bevil.
