Joseph Francis Wieczorek, 96, of Halethorpe, passed away on March 9, 2021, at Hospice of the Chesapeake Inpatient Care Center in Pasadena. Joseph was born in New Britain, Connecticut, on May 24, 1924, to the late Rosalia and Stanislaw Wieczorek. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during World War II as a Seaman 1st Class, and was a member of both the American Legion and the V.F.W. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and loved spending time with his family.
Joseph was predeceased by his devoted wife of 69 years, Helen P. Wieczorek, his dear siblings, and his daughter-in-law, Joanne Wieczorek and son-in-law, Jay Anderson. He is survived by his loving children, Ralph Wieczorek, Roseann Anderson, and Beth Wieczorek; his cherished grandchildren, Chris, Michael, Leslie, Stuart, and Jeffrey; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Frank Jr., Jordan, Bryce, and Aiden.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, March 15th, from 10 AM – 12 noon. A Celebration of Life Service will be Private. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to St. John Lutheran Church at www.sjlc.org
