On Saturday, October 12, 2024, Josephine “Jo” Elizabeth Reeves of Glen Burnie, MD passed away peacefully. Beloved wife of the late James “Jim” B. Reeves, Jr.; loving mother of Dr. James B. Reeves, III, PhD, and his wife Valerie, Michael E. Reeves and his wife, Linda, Alan J. Reeves and his wife Chiru, and Mark W. Reeves and his wife, Diana; devoted grandmother of Marty, Christy, Shawn, Ryan, Geoff, Tony, Nick, Lauren, Rebecca and Isaiah; cherished great-grandmother of Matthew, Dillon, Jonah, Faith, Alexandra, Chrishawna, Jon, Destiny, Nathan, Emmaleigh, Geoff, Jr., Hailey, Abby, Nataleigh, Baileigh, Mason, Oliver, Sydney, Cooper, Imara, Ibada and Imela. She is also survived by her great-great-grandchild Aaron and other loving family and friends. “Jo” was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Frances Blair; and great grandson, Ryry.
She volunteered at the Woodside Elementary School, Glen Burnie, MD from 1965 to 2000.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2nd Avenue, SW ,(at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm where a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 10:00 am. Her Graveside Service and Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Brooklyn, MD
If desired, Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to Operation Christmas Child, Samaritan’s Purse.
