Josephine Schaefer

JOSEPHINE C. SCHAEFER (nee Crabill), 85, of Charlestown Retirement Community, formerly of North Linthicum for over 50 years, passed away on January 31, 2013. Josephine was born in Maurertown, VA to the late Ruth and Benjamin Crabill. She was a longtime employee of Westinghouse and a member of the Red Hat Society. She was also a member of several theatre groups in Baltimore, Hill Street Players, Spotlighters, and the Vagabonds. Josephine was a parishoner of St. Timothy's Church in Catonsville and formerly of St. John's Lutheran in Brooklyn. She volunteered at St. Agnes Hospital and St. Paul's soup kitchen and she enjoyed traveling. Josephine is the devoted wife of 65 years to Neal Schaefer, Jr.; beloved mother of Neal Schaefer, III and Laura Adams; cherished grandmother of Rebecca, Andrew, Mackenzey, and Brooke; dear sister of Virginia Woehlke, Ralph Crabill, and the late Bennie and Don Crabill.
