Karen Allewalt

On Monday, August 29, 2022, Karen Marie Allewalt of Delma, DE, formerly of Arnold, MD passed away peacefully in Delma, DE. Beloved wife of the late Charles W. Allewalt; Loving mother of Dana M. Haggerty and her husband Bill and Paul D. Herklotz, Jr. and his wife Renee; Cherished step-mother of Charles Allewalt and his wife Angie, Patrick Allewalt and his wife Mary, and Shannon Allewalt Hugel and her husband Bob; Sister of William “Bill” Councill, Robert “Bob” Councill, Gloria Councill Hoover and the late Frank “Lee” Councill; Devoted grandmother of Ethan, David and Meghan and Great-Grandmother of Delaney, Layndon and Lincoln; Dear step-grandmother of Charlie Allewalt, Brady and Kyle Allewalt, and Samantha Hugel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 Second Avenue, SW (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061 for a “Time of Friendship and Remembrance”  on Friday September 9, 2022 from 3:00 pm till the start of the Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 5:00 pm. Her inurnment will be held at a later date privately.
