Katherine E. Heckler

Katherine Elizabeth Heckler (Baublitz), 82, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at A Heartfelt Home Assisted Living in Pasadena.  She was born in Baltimore to the late Margaret and Bernard Linton and she graduated from Southern High School.  Katherine worked various jobs, but her last, and favorite job was for Candy Kitchen in Ocean City.  Family was first and foremost for Katherine.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters.  She also enjoyed going to the casinos, playing the lotto, coloring, and playing video and computer games.

Katherine was predeceased by her first husband Fredrick H. Baublitz Sr., her second husband Robert Heckler, her son-in-law A. John Rambeau, and her siblings, Bernard Linton Jr., Dorothy Kouns, James Linton, Robert Linton, and Charlotte Baublitz.  She is survived by her beloved children, Fredrick (Anna) Baublitz Jr., Brian (Cindy) Baublitz Sr., and Diane Rambeau; her dear step-children, Helen & Richard White, Christine Heckler, and Elizabeth Heckler; her six cherished grandchildren; her ten adored great-grandchildren; and her brother Carl (Corinne) Linton Sr.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family & friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Tuesday, March 21st, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd, at 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel.  Interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Katherine’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org
