Kenneth Lewis Hertz

          On Monday, August 7, 2023, Kenneth “Ken” Lewis Hertz of Ferndale, MD passed away peacefully with family by his side. Beloved husband of the late Shirley M. Hertz and Mary J. Hertz. Loving father of Wayne J. Hertz and his wife Christine and the late Mary Jo Weist and his devoted companion Marie Price of over 17 years. Grandfather of Bethany, Jonah, Adam, Simon, T.J. and Brooke. Great-Grandfather of Sophia, Jynleigh, Gideon, Kory, Hannah, Haylee and Harper. Ken was also preceded in death by his parents; Josephine M. and Frank J. Hertz and his brothers, Robert and Richard Hertz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and loving friends.

          Ken enjoyed coin and stamp collecting and was an avid Bowler. He also was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council #7025, Linthicum, MD and he loved his family and friends.

          Family and friends are invited to gather at the Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 Second Avenue, SW (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, August 18, 2023 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 6401 S. Orchard Road, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090 at 11:45 am. Committal Service and Interment to follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the “GFCCA”, Greater Ferndale Community Civic Association.
