Kiersten Emily Wengert-Walko, 17, of Brooklyn, passed away suddenly on November 1, 2017. Kiersten attended North County High School and was set to graduate this spring. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, shopping and going to the beach. Her greatest passion was dance; she travelled all over the United States for dance competitions. She was active with humanitarian work and loved to wear Christmas socks all year round. Kiersten was secretly proud of her sister, Kendal, and always made her mom laugh. She absolutely loved her family and will be missed by so many. "To be honest... .I'm the favorite"
Kiersten is survived by her devoted mother and best friend, Kimberly Anne Wengert; dear father, Kenny Walko; cherished siblings, Kendal, Kash and Jailyn Walko; loving grandparents, Stephanie Shade (Hank), Elmer Wengert, Ginger and Ken Walko Sr.; beloved great-grandmother, Charlotte Towers; cherished aunt and uncles, Stephanie Shade, Wyatt Shade and Ben Wengert; and her dear cousins, Sophia and Kelsey. She will also be missed by many extended relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Lighthouse Church, 6691 Bay Meadow Drive, Glen Burnie, on Tuesday, Nov. 7th, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, 10 AM, at the church. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
