Lannie Dennis

Lannie Mayhew Dennis, son of Carrie Alverta Dennis and the late Thomas Mayhew Dennis. Lannie, was born June 3, 1950 at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Md.  At the age of 69 he graciously surrendered this life peacefully by answering God’s call, after an illness with cancer.

Well known as Larry, Lannie, LD, Huff and Lannie D. He attended Anne Arundel County Public School.  In his earlier days he attended St. Matthew United Methodist Church and currently was a member of The Church at Severn Run. During his childhood he lived in Shadyside Maryland.

Lannie worked on Crownal Daily Farm, Hadge Yacht Yard and his last employer was Gould Electronic (Lockheed Martin).  Lannie was the Fan Club president for the local area band Starpoint, touring with them for many years.

Later moving to Glen Burnie and married his wife Sharon. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. When his illness began to affect his vision, Lannie connected with Bari Azman of Maryland Low Vision Specialist of Md & Va. They toured the metropolitan area giving seminars about devices that could help people with their vision. During this time Lannie wrote a book about his life dealing with Crohn’s Disease, Blindness and Stomach Cancer.

Lannie was proceeded in death by his brother James Nick. He leaves behind his wife Sharon of 30 years. His mother Carrie Dennis, sister Shirley Holland (Lustine), Sons Troy Dennis, Louis Brown (wife LaTonya) and Cory Dennis. Grandchildren, Tionna, Troi, Thomas, and Talyin Dennis, Floyd Cobb, Jaylin, Dillon and Devon Brown.  Nieces/Nephews, Melissa and Ann Marie Holland, Barbara Ann Palmer (Antonio), Jarel and James Nick. One Aunt, Elisa Dennis. Sister-in-law, Margaret Nick. Brother and Sister in-laws, L. Donald Bessicks (Peggie), Jackie Marshall, Gloria Bessicks, Carl Brown (Patricia), Deborah Dailey, Vlasta McCoy (Danny) and Sharlene Savage (Ronald) and a host of friends and other family members.
