Lawrence Franklin King, Jr.

Lawrence Franklin King, Jr., 76, of Severn, passed away on December 30, 2022, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on September 21, 1946, to Elizabeth and the late Lawrence King, Sr.  Lawrence served his country proudly for 20 years in the U.S. Army National Guard, achieving the rank of Sergeant.  He retired from UPS Freight in 2010, and continued working part time for MultiPart Machine.  He also enjoyed woodworking projects and spending time with his family.

Lawrence is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Carolyn Denise King; his loving children, Larry R. King, Lawrence F. King III, and Nicole C. Guthrie; his cherished grandchildren, R. Michael Wille, Dana C. Wille, Joseph A. Orr, Logan A. Guthrie, and Shiloh I. Guthrie; and his dear sister, Patricia Lemanis and her husband, Phil.  Lawrence was predeceased by his beloved son, Charles David Fischer and Christopher.

The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. S. W. (at Crain Hwy), on Monday, January 16th, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, January 17th, at 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel.  Interment with military honors will follow at MD Veterans Cemetery – Crownsville.
