LEE M. GRIFFITH, 89, of Severn, MD passed away on March 24, 2010 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center. He was born in Severn in 1920. He served during WWII in the US Army in the communication division and was attached to the US Marine Corps during the landing of Iwo Jima. Lee worked for Proctor & Gamble for a short time and later went to work for the C&P Telephone Company serving as lineman, area manager and then becoming the Staff Manager of Purchasing before he retired. He was a Past President of the Glen Burnie Kiwanis Club, was also active with the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Griffith was involved with Blind Industries and Services of MD teaching braille and making training aides. He had a love of farming and woodworking, he was very mechanical and could fix anything. He was a creative and inventive person. Mr. Griffith is the beloved husband of the late Geraldine I. Griffith; devoted father of Howard L. Griffith and his wife Barbara; Betty M. Watts and her husband Richard; loving grandfather of Leigh Ann Wiles, Kaitlin and Laura Watts; and a dear friend of Mildred Todd.
