Leland Currier

On June 25, 2010 Leland Gilbert Currier, a resident of Glen Burnie, MD for 53 years, passed away at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Leland was born in Longbranch, New Jersey on November 16, 1922. He graduated from the University of Baltimore with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Business Administration. He worked as a machinist with Westinghouse then went into management for 30 years. Leland was a member of Sons of the American Revolution and the New Jersey Masonic Lodge. In his spare time, he greatly enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, genealogy, motorcycles, being a race car driver and mechanic, and watching his grandchildren play various sports; he was an avid sports fan. He will be remembered for being a great mechanic who was able to fix anything.
He is survived by his two sons, Leland Clayton Currier of Severna Park, MD, and William Frank Currier of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Georgiana, Allison, Samantha, Leslie, Lisa, Leland K., and Cecile; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Georgiana Clayton Currier.
