On June 20, 2019, Leo George Outen, 82, passed away at his home in Glen Burnie. Leo was born on November 21, 1936, in Baltimore, to the late Naomi and Raymond Outen, Sr. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy as a Radar Operator, and then went on to work as a truck driver. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 557 and the American Legion. Leo enjoyed driving trucks, watching Westerns and cheering on the Ravens and Orioles.
Leo was predeceased by his devoted wife, Anna Belle Outen, two of his children, Michael L. Outen & Deborah J. Butler, and his brother, Raymond L. Outen, Jr. He is survived by his cherished granddaughter, Heather A. Outen, her fiancé, Kenneth Cavey, and her children, Dakota Yellow Thunder and Aidan Cavey; his other two children, Raymond L. Outen (Tammy) and Kimberly N. Butler (Leroy Butler, Sr.); his other grandchildren, Michael, Anne Marie, Scott, Joey, Daniel, Raymond Jr., Timmy, Patrick and Carmen Outen, and Steven, Christia, Tabitha, and Leroy Butler; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and other extended family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Wednesday, June 26th at 1 PM. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
