Leroy Joseph “Bud” Guercio, 90 of Glen Burnie, passed away on January 29, 2021. Bud was born on May 21, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for Kennecott Copper Company for 25 years.
Bud enjoyed cruising, the outdoors, and had a passion for collecting family photographs, but most of all he loved his faith and spending time with his family.
Bud is survived by his beloved wife of over 68 years, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Guercio (nee Truffer); his devoted children, Mary Leach and her husband, Henry; Thomas Guercio and his wife, Kim; Janice Callas and her husband, Stalio; his dear sister, Doris Rosson; brother-in-law, Ken Truffer; and sister-in-law, Patricia Ozborn. He is also survived by several grandchildren and spouses, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Guercio and brother, Francis “Frank” Guercio.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd from 4:00-7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Joseph’s Passionist Monastery, Irvington on Thursday, Feb. 4th at 10 AM. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park
