Leslie Kowalewski

Leslie Joyce Kowalewski, 92 of Glen Burnie, passed away on February 10, 2013. Leslie was born on December 13, 1920 in Pasadena, MD. She graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1938. She served our country during WWII by working at Koppers Company by grinding burrs off of piston rings. She ran Leslie Ceramics out of her home in Glen Burnie and was a member of the Glen Burnie Home Arts Club and the Glen Burnie Improvement Association. Leslie enjoyed ceramics, herb gardening and her pugs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert J. Kowalewski, Sr. and her brothers, Joseph, Leonard and Bruce Burton. Leslie is survived by her children, Sheeler Kowalewski and her husband, Karl Lawson and Hubert J. Kowalewski, Jr. and his wife Cindy; her grandchildren, Hubert and Joseph Kowalewski, Andrew and David Lawson; her great grandson, Joseph Kowalewski; her brother, John Burton; and her sister-in-law, Helen Burton.
