Lewis Long Jr

On January 28, 2012, Mr. Lewis George Long, Jr., 75, of Glen Burnie, MD; passed away at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Mr. Long was born on October 3, 1936 in Baltimore, MD. He served his country in the US Army for 22 years, rising to the rank of Command Sergeant Major. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and Combat Infantry Badge. Lewis attended the US Army Sergeant Major Academy and 2 years at Anne Arundel Community College. In his spare time her enjoyed boating, fishing, and traveling.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jean M. Long; his children, Lewis E. Long and Elizabeth F. Wagner and her husband Michael; his brothers, Robert and Bruce Long; and his sister, Ellen Gottke.
