Linda Ann (Ryan) Fitzsimmons, 82, of Pasadena, MD passed away at home on January 3, 2025. She was born in South Baltimore to the late Sarah Ann and Albert James Ryan, Sr. Linda graduated from St. Mary’s Star of the Sea elementary school and Southern High School. She lived for many years in Ellicott City, MD, where she and her family made lifelong friends and created many memories. Some of her hobbies included researching Ryan and Fitzsimmons genealogy, cruising, traveling to Ireland and Las Vegas, and serving as the secretary of the national Figural Bottle Opener Collectors Club. Later in life, Linda enjoyed an active membership in the Poplar Ridge Senior Club, playing bingo, watching Judge Judy, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, James Albert Ryan, Jr., and her devoted husband of 46 years, John T. Fitzsimmons, Sr.
Linda is survived by her loving children, Kelly A. Fitzsimmons, John T. Fitzsimmons, Jr. (Becky), and Joanne T. Owings (Keith), and cherished grandchildren, Austin Fitzsimmons, Erin Fitzsimmons, and Ryan Fitzsimmons.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., Glen Burnie, MD on Thursday, January 9th, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.
