Linda Martin

Linda F. Martin aka "Gran", 75, of Glen Burnie, passed away at her home on April 24, 2023. She was born in Baltimore to the late Charles J. and Frances M. Manning. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, watching game shows and listening to Jimmy Swaggert. She was a woman of faith and loved Jesus; and as her saying goes “Get Prayed Up So You Can Go Up”. Gran loved animals; she took care of strays and adored all things with fur. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn Martin; husband, Walter Martin; and her siblings, Charles Manning Jr., Leroy Manning and Betty Carland.

Gran is survived by her loving children, Charles Manning (Dawn), Tammy Martin (Lawrence Rainier), Betty Martin and David Martin (Sabrina); beloved Godchildren, Kimberly Martin, Skip Carland and Jay Jones Blaha; cherished grandchildren, Makayla Green, Mark Allman, Jessica Geldmacher, Rebecca Manning, CJ Manning, Kaelyn Stewart, Evan Manning, Caysey Gossweiler, Olivia Gossweiler, Shelby Bowen, Cody Bowen, Hannah Carland and Emily Carland; adored great-grandchildren, Abby Allman, Amelia Geldmacher and Everett Geldmacher; and her dear siblings, Janice Jones, Bill Manning (Robin) and Kathy Swing (Jim). She will also be missed by her close friend, Alice Lewis; brother-in-law, Willard Martin; many loving nieces and nephews; her “fudge friends”, Debbie and Murray Easter; and close family friend, Cheryl Potter.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Sunday, April 30th, from 4 – 7:30 PM.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, 11 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
