Lionel J. Verrette, 89, passed away on November 6, 2016 in Washington, DC. He was born on May 26, 1927 in New Brunswick, Canada. Lionel honorably served 21 years in the US Army. He enjoyed bowling and visiting casinos. He was preceded in death by his children, Ralph and Nancy Verrette. Lionel is survived by his wife, Therese M. Verrette; his children, Danny P. Verrette, Shirley Richter, Lionel Verrette and Gerald Verrette. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Monday, Nov. 21st from 9:30 - 10:30 am. A Memorial Service will follow at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Inurnment at Baltimore National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
