In the early morning of Tuesday, January 21, 2020, Lorraine Y. H. McAdory of Glen Burnie, Maryland, after a brief illness passed away at Genesis Waugh Chapel Rehabilitation Center. She was born and raised in New York, NY and later moved to Maryland after high school to attend Morgan State College, where she earned a B.A. in Social Work. She worked for many years with Catholic Charities, Baltimore City DSS and the State of Maryland DSS. She traveled the world with friends. She loved to read and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Lorraine loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them.
Lorraine is survived by her sons, Michael, Phillip, Joseph Franklin and daughter Benita Robinson. She was predeceased in death by her son David Franklin. She is survived by her two daughters-in-law, Paulette and Denise Franklin, one son-in-law, Ernest Robinson, twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog Desmond, along with a host of special friends and extended family. Lorraine, Mom, Mo, Grandma, Grandy will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
At her request, there will not be a service in her honor. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations in her name to the American Cancer Society and/or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
